Catch Up...

Well, it's been a long couple weeks. My cousin Audri got married this past weekend. The wedding was beautiful and even though we ran into some obstacles, it went pretty well.

We are getting everything ready for the corn maze for October. We have lots of things we still need to do, but we already have 1,500 students signed up for field trips! Hopefully the weather will cooperate! We don't need all the rain like we had last year.

Tyler and Andrew went to midnight release of Halo:Reach last night. They stayed up playing the game till I think it was like 5:00 AM ish. I couldn't believe they stayed up that long! But boys will be boys. They said it was worth it, haha.

Sarah is struggling with geometry, so I've been helping her a little. Hopefully she'll get the hang of it and be able to pull a good grade from that class. She is also wanting to learn how to play the piano, so we've been have a few lessons here and there. She has the talent that I want though :( haha. She can pick out a song on the piano she has heard without needed sheet music. I can eventually, but it takes me days if not weeks. It takes her no time at all. She'll be a great pianist as long as she practices.

Eliza is a mess as always. She's 6 going on 16. She's getting my craft sense though, haha. I'll be doing a craft and she'll be like "you should put this there to make it pop more", and of course...she's right! In order to full appreciate Eliza, or understand exactly what I'm talking about, you just need to hang around her for a couple of days, ha.

Andrew has been sick for a couple of days, but it seemed like he was better last night before they left to go get Halo. Hopefully the sick bug will steer clear of my house for a while!

First Thing's First

So, I guess the first thing we should do is address the fact of the blog title - Miss Sippi Lightheart's (and yes, I spelt Mississippi wrong on purpose). It all started when we first moved down to Mississippi. We were living in Washington at the time, and a friend of Tyler's asked where we were going. We told him Mississippi. He didn't quite understand the fact that we were moving and thought we were visiting some family. So he looks at my mom and says, "How long will you guys be visiting Miss. Sippi?" Yep, he thought Miss. Sippi was a family member we were going to visit. It was one of the cutest things ever!
